On 15th of December was the grand finale of BloombergTV’s first TV competition for startups “The Daring”, in which our company Umni.bg was one of the 7 finalists. We made it to the finals after being selected from over 40 companies and winning with maximum points in the 6th episode of the competition. In the final, the competition was extremely tough, and every company deserved to become a grand finalist. We congratulate the Holoma team on their success!
We are grateful to the team of mentors of the competition for choosing us to participate in the competition, to the whole BloombergTV team involved in the competition (over 100 people) and to the producer Tania Krasteva – for the wonderful project and excellent realization, to the host Pavel Ezekiev – for the kind word, kindness and making the experience on the stage less stressful. We again share our heartfelt thanks to our mentors in the show, Nikolay Martynov from “Impetus Capital”, Genoveva Hristova from “Ligna Group” and Yordan Zarev from “NV3” for their in-depth and extremely helpful and wise advice, which made us better in just 2-3 weeks.
We thank Nikolay Martinov, partner at Impetus Capital, early-stage venture capital fund, for his invaluable feedback and advice. When you love your work and know so much about it, everything seems important and you want to tell the world about it, to share all your positive emotions. When evaluating Umni.bg in our episode, Nikolay appreciated this quality and called it “transfer of enthusiasm”. To use it even more successfully, during the mentoring sessions Nikolay helped us to focus on key elements and messages in our performance as a business – not only in the competition, but also in our daily life towards clients and partners, and to look at our positioning from a different angle. He gave us strategic advice for our further development as a growing company with a desire to become not only a leader in the Bulgarian market, but also abroad.
We want to thank Yordan Zarev, partner at the venture capital fund NV3 and investment manager at another venture capital fund NEVEQ, for his high evaluation of our company during the show and for his recommendations.Yordan shared with us best practices for developing markets and using different approaches in marketing other startups use that are now successful businesses at home and abroad.
In the 6th episode Genoveva praised us for our passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to what we do: an AI chatbot platform that is accessible to every business, helping them grow. During the mentoring session Genoveva drew our attention to an important element – focus on what matters most. Chatbots have so many benefits that it’s hard to talk about all of them at once, so let’s focus on the universal and vital benefits for a company.
Separately, we want to thank everyone who supported us and voted for us. Although the viewers’ prize was not given based on voting, but went to a company selected by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, the vote was invaluable to us!
What we realized, and what makes a huge difference for us, is that we have friends and fans all over the world who have supported our mission! People from the US, Canada, the UK, many European countries, India, Japan, China, Russia, Turkey, and even the Dominican Republic voted for us! This inspires us to continue to develop Umni and help businesses grow with the help of their own digital employee – a chatbot with conversational AI.
Thank you, everyone! Don’t expect us to stand still. We’re moving forward and will have great news for you very soon! 😊
