Those of you who listened to the broadcast “Radiocafé” on January 6 with the host Lilia Goleminova, Radio Sofia, know that it turned out to be a very colorful and cheerful conversation on the topic of artificial intelligence. Our CEO, Elitza Stoilova spoke about the benefits, the possibilities, and even about interesting and curious incidents from the world of conversational AI. However, if we had to summarize the conversation in 3 important points, they would look like this:
– 2023 will be the year of artificial intelligence in everyday life and at work. Technology today is available to anyone to do many different things. What will come to the forefront is the combination of people’s expertise, emotional intelligence, and imagination, with the power of this technology.
– Giant chatbot models are wide-ranging chatbots – they can talk on hundreds of thousands of topics (they are trained on all the available information until 2021 and search the Internet themselves), but they are still at the stage of research and development. A characteristic of the large models is that they cannot be trusted as far as the facts they provide are not always true. They sound real and very well, but they could be complete fiction. These models are great for texts and other tasks where a person gives the task and knows what result to expect at the end i.e. knows the answer in advance – for example, to create drafts – from articles to songs, commercials, and scripts. Then the person finishes the project.
– Business chatbots with conversational AI are very different from the giant chatbot models – they are narrowly focused on the needs of the business and its customers and are developed and trained by the business team in a business-controlled environment: both training topics and responses, and other content. They have what the “big ones” don’t have: an individual business interface for communication (chat interface that can be branded), forms for collecting customer information, the ability to be shared online and offline with 1 click or scan of a QR-code – for marketing and sales, integrations with other software…
In other words, if giant chatbots are a “black hole” and no one knows what the result will be and how the chatbot gets there, in business chatbots everything is under the control of the business – down to the comma in the answer to the customer’s question.
Technology is now available to everyone! Use it to save time and resources to grow and create!
